Búðardalur
Búðardalur is a village in Dalasýsla county. It was the home of sheriff Þorsteinn Þorsteinsson(1884-1961),  one of Iceland's main book colletors. His libray is now at Skálholt.

There is a special museum in Buðardalur in connection with the 1000th anniversary of the discovery of Vínland (what is now known as the United States).
